<p>The deposits are non-refundable. As long as you get the housing forms in by the deadline, you'll be fine. It's only after that that you may be at a disadvantage. They won't do housing assignments til summer sometime.</p>
<p>houstonblue: will you be a freshman at nyu? or are you a returning student? I believe the housing deposit for new students is $1000, not $500.</p>
<p>the housing deposit is 1000, but the registration deposit was 500 and i think thats what houston is referring to.</p>
