Our high school participates in the Relay for Life program for the American Cancer Society. It's a great event for the kids, they work really hard to plan and execute it, and I know tons of them are running/walking or participating in some way. I support this program and will definitely make a donation.

My question for the good people on this board is, how do YOU handle multiple requests? In the olden days when the girl scouts or the band's citrus fruit-sellers showed up at my door, I'd usually try to buy something since I wanted to reward their effort. Now, with the ease of clicking on Mom's email list, I get many solicitations for donations/purchases from a lot of kids.

Can't really afford to make a meaningful donation to every kid who asks. I'd like to make one donation and just tell each solicitor that I made a donation already, but I know some kids have trouble closing the deal and feel like they're not doing enough.

What do you all think about this?
