AAB for nus ... and something Like BBB for NTU ... but aim for AAA (NUS) and ABB (NTU) since things are likely to get more competitive every year..

Hey Guys, Can anyone recommend me how to go with my chem pract. Last session chem pract. paper was tuff as hell. Which books do u all use.

just do past papers.. you'll be fine.. read examiner's reports, mark schemes, examiner's tips (found on the cambridgestudents website). Practice titration a lot.

Well how to get examiners reports. I searched all cie.org.uk and cambridgestudennts but they offered on June 2003 papers and no Examiner reports.

add me on msn at waleedkhan@msn.com through MSN messenger and ill send you some. Good Luck

sorry i forgot - you can also download them at www.paperspoint.com

Thanks walledk87, The site was extremely helpful. Never Knew if such site existed.

I was thinking if being an A level student is an advantage. I mean most of the people applying from India are from CBSE (National Exam Board), doesn't it gives me an advantage over the others.

bump.......

yes u bet as hell it does...the cutoff for NUS through CBSE was i think around 95odd percent this year...alot harder than getting an AAB lol

Correct, but i was not asking about the course of CBSE v/s A Levels.I was saying that doesn't it gives me an edge overt others on grounds of diversity(seems funny) in US admissions.

well i guess so,i mean how many indians take the A lvls compared to CBSE...

i haven't seen any one applying to US with A levels from India. Most are from CBSE or IB. It seems out of 200 applicatns to MIT at most 5 should have A levels.

I used to study in india and my school (the british school new delhi) offered a level and around 60 people graduated each year.. around 5-6 applied to MIT

They have also shifted to Ib. There is no big school left in india that offers A level.

exactly,(10 characters)

btw just generally whats enough in IB to get into NUS?..40?

I have no ide about that, anyways when are you leaving for KrishLand wasup.

haha 19th...that Krish, its a mix of superman, batman, spiderman james bond everything iv heard...

i'd better go see it now!

waleedk, do you know when A level results will come out, last year it was 26 Jan. I think i will send my A level results to univ. if they are declared a littel early this year.
