students traveling from UPS to Seattle

My son is considering the Univ. of Puget Sound because he likes the curriculum and likes the proximity to Seattle. Does anyone know how kids get to Seattle from UPS ( if they don't have a car ) and is it easily accessible by bus or train? Is it expensive to travel? I think he hopes to go up for a day on the weekends but come back to campus at night.
Also, any feedback on the school itself would be welcomed.

Regular bus and train service but don't know how late they run.

My D went to high school down the street from UPS, and several prof's kids were her classmates; they went there to use the college library, etc. I was NOT impressed. It's an okay campus in a depressed city. It is convenient to Seattle, but why not look at a school in Seattle if that's the goal?

The only person I know who went to UPS failed to graduate after flunking two courses in one semester because he was very ill (pneumonia); the school was not helpful about incompletes, etc., and he ended up leaving without diploma despite spending 8 semesters there.

traffic is getting worse and worse-up and down the I-5 corridor
I am sure he would find friends with cars- but I agree if Seattle is that attractive, he might want to check out schools in Seattle like Seattle U

Sound Transit does have a commuter train though

Pacific Lutheran has an extremely beautiful campus, but is about the same amount of difficulty getting to Seattle as UPS. I have a lot of friends going to Seattle U and they absolutely love it there.

There is also the University of Washington, which has a beautiful campus, about any program anyone could want, and is in Seattle as well.

Hah. I thought from the thread title you were talking about going to Seattle BY UPS. Make sure those air holes are big enough!
