Students Wanting a Career in Medicine

I think I speak for a lot of ppl at CC. Many of us want to become a doctor. However, let's face it, not all of us will make it to med school. Do any experts (i.e. current students, graduated students) know:

[1] how do med schools accept applicants?
[2] which years in university do they consider? freshman year isn't included in the GPA right?
[3] what do science ppl do if they don't get into med school?

thanks a million. If other ppl have questions, do ask!! :)

They look at your GPA, MCAT, rec letters, and strong EC's.

They consider your EVERY class you took in your undergrad years. If you dropped, repeated or got a W, they consider that too.

Most people who get rejected either go abroad for med schools (this is much easier to get in to) or become teachers or researchers.
