Studied, yet did bad on April SATs

the same thing happened to me: i have a 4.0 gpa with all honors and AP classes, my last practice SAT i was over a 2000, and then i suddenly dropped a lot of points. it was a really big shocker. but my ACT score composite went up (thank god). so instead of getting all upset about it now, i am going to focus on finishing my junior year strong by getting good grades and doing well on the AP exams, my final exams, and SAT IIs. i will take the ACTs one more time in september and the SATs in october, and focus on studying for those in the summer.

so for everyone freaking out about their score: remember, you can still take it again. yea, the score doesnt just magically disappear (even though they should...). if colleges see a major improvement from the first score to the second, they will be impressed. so dont jump off a cliff or drown or fall out of a window. you will be fine. focus on finishing the year strong. plus, test scores arent the only thing that colleges look at. they see your GPA, extracurricular activities, community service, essays, etc. if they only looked at your test scores, the application would look like this:

Name:____________
Test Scores: _____________

and the applications would be a whole lot easier to fill out and not as time consuming
