Studing Abroad would love to hear opinions on schools!

So this coming fall semester (2012) I'm planning on studying abroad. I'll be a junior and I'm going through the Utrecht program and have narrowed down to my 3 schools

Masaryk University, Brno Czech Republic

Aarhus University, Denmark

Utrecht University, The Netherlands

I do have 2 alternate school choices (Lund Swenden, and Cork Ireland) but they are VERY difficult to get into at my university because they are the most popular so I feel like applying to them would lower my chances of getting into a school at all because your only allowed 3 choices and they place you.

So I wanna hear any opinions about the 3 schools I listed or the cities they're in or the country as a whole! thanks for your time

Utrecht is quite a nice city. It’s a university city with plenty of charm, and plenty of life. I have always found the Dutch to be super friendly and a lot of fun. I have been to Utrecht several times and would recommend it.

That’s all I can offer :frowning: Aarhus is also a well-known university city, but I have never been there.

Good luck! You’re gonna have a great time wherever you go!

Go Netherlands!
I am Dutch myself, but am currently planning on studying in the US next year. If it weren’t for that, I would have definitely chosen Utrecht; it is not too small, yet not too big, has a great atmosphere and is overall ranked highest of all Dutch universities on international lists.
There is also something called ‘University College’ in Utrecht, which attracts a lot of foreign students because it follows the American Liberal Arts system, a system which is generally not offered at universities. This means you won’t be the only international
I do not really know anything about any of the other schools, but I can account for the Netherlands being great and Utrecht even more.
