Studio Art Abroad

Any suggested programs or internships for oil painters? Figure painting is of special interest. Art history, culture and travel would also be of interest.

Check out [Language School Links. Learn Italian in Italy at an Italian langauge school or Italian university program for foreigners.](http://languageschoollinks.com/italy/index.html). I used the site a lot and came up with some schools. For the heck of it I was looking at schools in Italy, and some of the language schools listed on the site offer painting classes as well.

Many of the schools offer art history, culture classes, etc. I put up the link for Italy because the first thing that came to my mind was Florence. There are also some art schools that teach mostly (or just) art. As you know, studying art ain’t as cheap as you think it would be!

What I would do is go to the link I posted, and then choose your city (or cities) and then just open up links for all of the schools that are posted there. You’ll see that many offer very similar language & culture courses, and some offer painting and other fine arts courses as well.

Where were you thinking of going?

Look at the SACI (saci.org) website. My D is interested in studying ceramics there at their Florence location.
