Hi everyone! So I’m taking French at my current university. I would like to study abroad in either France or the French-speaking region of Switzerland…
Any recommendations of which cities might be best for a one-semester study? I’m on a pre-med track so I would like to take a biology class abroad OR some sort of interesting humanities classes (just not business or law or engineering theme)…
If you studied abroad- how did you pick a place/university?

Does your university limit you to a select list of study abroad programs? Most do which would narrow down your options.

Its really limited so I wanna do a direct enrollment abroad

I’m studying French as well for my English/Global Studies double major and have found some great opportunities abroad. As a UC student, we have a university-affiliated program that allows us to travel to a select amount of universities. These include University of Bordeaux in France, which has a language-intensive track in courses such as literature and politics as well as University of Geneva in Switzerland where you can opt to either take econ/politics in English or a language-intensive French course. Unfortunately, I don’t know a lot about pre-med programs abroad, but for a cultural experience and perhaps an opportunity to finish your GEs, I recommend the previously mentioned universities. I hope this helps!
