Looking for a challenging study abroad for D in either studio art (painting) or Art History. Language may be an issue as she has only taken spanish 101, 102. She just got back from an intersession in Florence and loved Italy, didn't seem like language was much of a problem, but she was traveling with a group and had an professor traveling with who was english speaking. Anyone know of programs in where classes are taught in English and have a strong art component?

Syracuse University has a program and it's quite good- I've had art friends who've done it.

Trinity (CT) art history program in Rome.

I'll be doing the study abroad program for art history this summer in Rome. It's offered by Rutgers University, and they also offer one in Paris.

Rutgers - Study Abroad

thanks everyone...I will look into the suggestions. I did check out the Syracuse offerings and they look FANTASTIC, but....the cost for 1 semester abroad would be greater that 3 semesters at her school! She is looking for a full semester for spring 10, France, Italy, Northern spain are her ideas for now.
