Study abroad programs at MIT

Do many MIT students undertake study abroad programs? Are there specific programs set up by MIT so that students can continue their STEM studies abroad without too much difficulty?

The major program in which MIT students participate is the Cambridge-MIT Exchange, where MIT students study for a year at Cambridge. Students work with their advisors and departments before they go to Cambridge to make sure they will be taking courses that will keep them on track for graduation in their majors.

More info about study abroad opportunities at MIT can be found at the Careers Office ([Explore | MIT Global Education & Career Development](http://gecd.mit.edu/go_abroad/study/explore)) and MISTI ([MISTI - Study Abroad](http://web.mit.edu/misti/students/abroad.html)).

Thanks very much Mollie – hoping to find out more at CPW as well! Really encouraging my son to take advantage of this type of opportunity.

Oh, yes, definitely keep an eye out at CPW – there may well be a study abroad info session or fair.
