Study abroad programs?

I want to study in Canada, preferably Montreal or Quebec to study French in the summer.
However, the current college I attend does not offer Canada as an option. I would also need financial assistance.

What should I do or who can I go to for help on this matter?

Hi Senamin,

There are language schools in both Montreal and Quebec that teach French, as well as language programs at some French Canadian universities - I saw some on this site: [French in Montreal Canada. Learn French at a French Language School in Montreal, Canada.](http://languageschoollinks.com/canada/french_in_montreal.html).

I don’t know which of these universities has what you are looking for, but the names that I remember are Concordia, Laval University, and McGill. I think McGill is pretty pricey, don’t know about the others.

As far as place - Montreal is, in reality, half French speaking and half English speaking - there’s a ton of English usage in Montreal. Quebec is smaller, and maybe better to really learn French - but Montreal is a really nice place.

You might consider going on your own - sometimes it’s a heck of a lot cheaper - but that depends on where you are going to school and how much you pay per credit and stuff.
