Study abroad programs

Does anyone know about study abroad programs at Barnard? NYU, which I’m also considering to some degree, seems to publicize their programs a lot, but I haven’t noticed much in this area from Barnard. I had heard some things about the Core at Columbia College making it difficult to fit in study abroad–do the requirements at Barnard seem to do that at all? They seem less specific than the Core, so perhaps not.

I found the study abroad website (http://www.barnard.edu/dos/study_abroad/), but I’d appreciate any further advice about the programs. I can’t tell if Barnard itself offers anything, or just allows students to participate in approved programs.

Don't know anything about specific programs, but the requirements aren't a huge problem. As an extreme example, I know a girl who transferred here as a sophomore and spent her entire junior year in South Africa, and is graduating right on time. The requirements are very flexible; finishing your major is what you need to watch out for.

Can you do an Autumn semester in England - for english lit?
Cus U of Chicago has this.. was wondering if Barnard had this too.. ?
