Hi
I'm from Australia currently studying undergrad law and psychology and I've been accepted into studying abroad at UCLA and UCB for a semester! The only thing is, I have no idea which one to choose. I've never even been to the US before so this is totally unknown for me and I'm trying to find out as much information as possible before I make my decision. So yeah, if anyone has any ideas about which one would be better in ANY sense - academically, student life, location etc that would be amazing! Thank you :)

UCLA is in Southern California which is hotter than Northern California. Either choice could be a great adventure. At UCLA you are near Santa Monica, surfing beaches, etc, though LA is more sprawled and has less public transport. You are a couple of hours from Mexico, an hour from Disneyland, etc.

At Berkeley, you have the BART public transport to take you around the bay area and can head into San Franciso for all sort of activities, concerts, etc.

Both areas will have professional sports as well as music and theater options.

UCLA is theoretically more politically conservative than Berkeley, but that is not to say UCLA is truly conservative, more that Berkeley is pretty far out there. Both schools have solid sports teams programs.
