I'm not doing a normal study abroad but a study abroad political internship. Any places you guys recommend that has a strong program for students specifically interested in politics?

seriously, there are a million study abroad programs.

checking with your school to see what they offer would be a good place to start.

I don’t know exactly what you mean by political internship abroad… the UN? Geneva? you want to work in an office for a politician, but not an american politician?

Go to your school study abroad site and they should list programs by type. And then you are forced to choose between the few places they have listed for government studies. They usually pick good places.

I’d look up Washington DC intern programs just because it’s easy and cheaper than overseas if you cant find one abroad. As for overseas I’d stick to big cities. London, Paris, etc. Just google government study abroad. Look up US Embassies. NGOs, etc.

If you do one not through your school, however, it could cost ALOT because there might not be financial aid at all and you will most likely not get credit for anything.

I think if you can, definitely come to London School of Economics. It’s arguably the best school teaching Politics in the whole of Europe.

Switzerland/Geneva seems rather ideal (aside from DC).
