<p>i didnt know where to post a question like this,but oh well.. hi i am a freshman engineering major at virginia tech. i was wondering if there weree any institutes abroad that were good for engineering (computer science major btw) i am interested in australia, south africa, france, india, and UK.. thank you</p>
<p>can't really answer your question as i'm unfamiliar with foreign engineering schools, however, i do have two pieces of advice</p>
<ol>
<li>talk to the study abroad counselors at virginia tech. i'm sure they can point out which programs they have that might suit your interest (if any)</li>
<li>make sure you're actually able to study abroad. i know a lot of engineers at my college say that they can't study abroad cuz of the demanding engineering curriculum, and if they did, they'd be behind. so ask the engineering and/or comp sci department counselors to see how study abroad affects your academic standing, and while you're at it, i think they might know a thing or two about foreign engineering schools too.</li>
