<p>So are there many study abroad opportunities? And Are they very expensive?</p>
<p>In the student course catalog for Tepper it says they ENCOURAGE study abroad for at least one semester to gain international experience. I don't know if this is true for other schools (I think it is) but CMU does encourage study abroad and advertises it through emails during and before the school year.</p>
<p>Ive been accepted for an exchange program to cmu for next year. I am currently at imperial college london. The exchange is between the chemical engineering departments with 6 students going each way. I will be paying half my usual tution fees, I think the college pays the rest.</p>
