Study Biotechnology w/ either Mech Eng, Chem Eng, or Software Eng??

Hi there! Ok, so I am likely about to be a PhD student in Biotechnology, and will be getting an additional masters in another engineering discipline as part of my program; I'd like to get some advice/knowledge about which combination of Biotech and other engineering disciplines to study, if anyone here has mixed any of these disciplines, what career opportunities there are or companies to work for, and what might be the best mix for my particular interests. Note: I graduated with a B.S. in Cell Biology, with some calculus-based math courses and a couple of engineering courses in the mix.

-Biotechnology + Mechanical Engineering?

-Biotechnology + Chemical Engineering?

-Biotechnology + Software Engineering? (or computer engineering)

A little about my interests: As for mechanical engineering, I'm quite interested in biomechanics in the sense that I'd like to understand more about tissue mechanics for tissue engineering and the engineering of tissue scaffolds. As for chemical engineering, I'd like to learn more about fluid dynamics (biofluidics), drug delivery, and bioreactor design for tissue engineering applications. As for software engineering, I'd be most interested in "in silico" experimentation with respect to molecular modeling (for cell signaling applications, or surface-surface interactions), experimental design, mechanical predictions, etc. (I also imagine that software engineering could be quite useful if I don't want to always be stuck doing lab work for the rest of my life and might give me the opportunity to design software for biotech firms as well as learning software for schools.)

Unfortunately, I can't take all these disciplines, but I'd like to get others' opinions just so I can get more information on which I can base my decision, which will be a difficult one since I'm interested in so many things!

Is there anyone here who has mixed any of these disciplines; if so, what are your experiences, what were your opportunities, how did you incorporate each discipline, etc?

Thanks for any replies!

I would go with chemE since it seems to complement well to what you already have.
