Has anyone heard of this program or known someone who has gone to China on it? I have been looking at their many options for summer study, but haven't found anyone with personal experience with the company yet. If you have, please let me know all that you can about your trip! Thanks!

I don't know about the program. The problem with study in China is usually political control of the program content. It's a great country, but it's not a free country. Try to read up before you go so you know what you're not being told about.

Yeah, I'm an international studies major focusing on Asia, so I know a lot about China's history and current political state already... I'm hoping to take language while I'm abroad though

anyone have info on this program?

Last summer, my S went to Beijing for an 8 week immersion language program with CET. http://www.cetacademicprograms.com/ There were 77 american kids in the program last summer--from all over the country. Represented schools included: UT, Georgetown, Yale, UNC, Univ London and others.

He went as a high school senior and got two semesters of university credit for the program.

Beijing is my hometown, I can tell you that study in China is not as controlling as you thought. Although the government cannot allow you talk about sensative topics in public, but you can get information on Internet.

I only know that Harvard Summer School has a study abroad program in Beijing, it is great for American people to see a different way of life, which is most people lacked in this country.
