Hello everyone, i am a future undergraduate willing to study in one of universities or colleges at the US.I am very motivated about that desicion cuz i think thats just right for me.I am from Lithuania, which is way far from States, but as long as i do not see any life perspective over here i will do my bit to get to States and study there.Unfortunately, i am abit lost in tons of information provided to me about universities and colleges.Could anyone tell me precisely what should i exactly do,also according to my lithuanian school leaving diploma.Should i rank it in US schools evaluation programm? What is more i passed IELTS test, will it be enough for applying?
Well i started at Common application..and now as i said i am stucked on my rankings and evaluations..

i would be very happy and glad and thankful if anyone could help me to figure out everything.

i suggest you enroll in a community college first and then transfer to the university of your choice after 2 years. many international students follow that route and its working for them pretty well. many of them ended up at the best schools sucj as UC Berkeley, UCLA, Yale, Stanford, USC among others.

check out community college requirements first.

You should start by reading everything (and I do indeed mean everything) at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.state.gov/) Then you need to make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center closest to you. There are several in Lithuania [EducationUSA - Find an Advising Center](http://www.educationusa.info/Lithuania) These counselors are the experts on helping students from your country find good places to study in the US. The will know the answers to all of your questions.

You should check out websites or bookstores at your country; there should be sites or books on study overseas. In China, there are lots of stuff online and offline (bookstores); I’d think Lithuania has something similar.
