I am in the midst of a bit of a difficult search at the moment, looking for colleges that offer such courses are Anglo-Saxon (Old English), Old Norse, or any other courses in that vein, such as Celtic, Medieval or Old Welsh, and other relevant languages.
There seem to be few colleges that actually offer any of such courses, and if they do, it is on a varying basis and only through their English departments or in their Medieval Studies programs...
Thus far I've only identified Wheaton College (MA) as a place with Old English, and Harvard...
Does anyone know of any other schools that offer courses on Anglo-Saxon or any of these other great Medieval languages? It would be a great help in searching.
Thanks!

I would advise checking out faculty pages in English and German departments…often colleges will have at least one or two faculty members who’ve done coursework/research in historical linguistics. Languages like Old English and Old Irish may not be offered regularly, but sometimes they can be offered as a seminar if there’s sufficient interest in a given semester.

Thank you! This looks like it will be really helpful!
Your advice so far has been invaluable… this resource seems to be excellent.
