Study Period before SAT?

Just Wondering what the normal length of time you should be studying for your SAT before taking it?
I'm Irish and looking to take it again.(i'd be considered a junior in your system)

If i booked it for June is that enough time?

Yeah. You’ve already taken the sats, so you’re already familiar with the test. 3 months is more than enough time.

Absolutely. Go through a book (Barrons and BB) and take as many practice tests as you can. Practice makes perfect.

Six to eight weeks for sure. You should be ok for the June test.

Great to know !! thanks for the help!!

From what i hear, 3 months is a good amount to time needed…

Depending on how busy you are, you can easily be well prepared for the June test if you don’t have a lot else going on. However, I strongly suggest that when you practice (i.e. as often as possible), heavily rely upon using tests released by the CB. Avoid Barron’s practice writing sections (ie every writing section but the essay). It’s simply not the same style as the official SAT test. I was forced to take a course with Kaplan by my parents, and overall I would say that their practiced tests, as administered for the course, were decently accurate. However, I am not vouching for their “12 practice test” books, having noted several errors in the 2010 version. Princeton Review was also in the ballpark, but having not taken one of theirs recently, I cant quite recall the issue(s) I had with their materials and will not list something here currently in fear of making false accusations. Thus, focus on official tests! Just to justify my point of view, I assure you that I can confidently say these things after having done an absurd amount of practice tests. Good luck!
