study places on berkeley campus

I'm living off-campus next semester and I don't want to have to go home for lunch or eat at a restaurant everyday. What are some quiet/semi-quiet indoor places on campus where you can eat your lunch while studying?

FSMC
10char

lol i find your post ironic considering your UN.

bad joke-sorry. i just had to ;)

you could try the hallway in just about any building since none of the libraries allow food as far as i know.

Eshleman Library allows food.

Is Eshleman library even open anymore? Last semester, I went up to the 7th floor to find that it was empty and dark :(

if you dont mind being surrounded by chemistry students, there are two rooms on the 1st floor of latimer bldg where you can study and eat. i study there all the time while eating sushi :D

I’ll come find you then neon ; ] just remember your sushi!

and neon will find out who clueless REALLY is…bait her with sushi

woops! hahaha yeah u can find out who i am. that’s totaaallyyy fine!

I am an old homeless man with a freckle in my eye and a piercing in my eyebrow.

yeah, there’s free speech movement cafe~ you could also try SLC i guess, but it’s not always that quiet in there since people talk/tutor in there. sometimes i eat in the library even though you’re not supposed to, and no one ever says anything… x)

Qualcomm or Common Grounds are pretty good too. Haven’t been in it but Pat Brown looks legit.

Pat Brown’s has spacious outdoor seating and umbrellas, but it is a bit far from southside.

neon, where would I find the rooms in Latimer that you mentioned? Latimer is such a wierd building… and thanks to everyone for all the suggestions, but I’m really looking for places that aren’t cafes.

pat browns sucks in terms of food selection (compared to say ramonas or elsewhere) and availability of tables at noonish :/

Where in Dwinelle is Common Grounds? :/

Top floor. There’s signs when you go up the stairs, you’ll find it easy :)

There’s also the basement of Evans…pretty quiet. And I’ve eaten in there and nobody cares
