Well, I just took the SAT in December, and I plan to take it again some time around May. As of now, I plan to do 1 practice test every weekend (give and take some weekends ofcourse) and just keep doing what I'm doing, but that seems like a rather weak plan. I'm kind of confused on what to do besides just taking practice tests and what not. What else should I do?

well you haven’t given us sufficient information. Are you a sophomore or junior? What was your December SAT score? What is your goal?

I’m Vietnamese student. I had prepared for just a month before I took the SAT exam and my final result is CR:580,Math:790,WR:550. And I also plan to take the test again on 1st, May. I spend average 1.5 hours per day to practice CR section, one essay every day and a half hour to study vocabulary in the morning. Is it possible to get CR 700 and WR 650 within next 3 months. Can all you guys give me any suggestion to success in CR section.

I really think increasing vocabularies helps - even though i haven’t taken the test yet but i can see that from sample tests i’ve done. i used to be terrible in CR even though i’m a voracious reader. I was so disspointed when i did my first sample test. i thought i should be good at reading but i didn’t know so many words. after studying words i got better. It helps if you spend time increasing your vocab. “Direct Hit” has good vocabs with great examples. of course i had to do them and redo them… to retain them.

there was also a thread by a guy titled “how i got a 2400” or something like that. if someone could dig that up, im sure it would help

Was it this one? [2200+ SAT Prep](<a href=“SAT 1, SAT Books, 2200+ SAT Preparation Strategy @ MY-SAT.com”>SAT 1, SAT Books, 2200+ SAT Preparation Strategy @ MY-SAT.com) My friend and I both used some of these books and did really well. Of course, in all honesty, it’s up to individual determination. You seem to have a lot, so it’s just getting a solid strategy, right?

hmm it was a thread but that looks helpful
