You’ve got plenty of time to prepare, so don’t stress too much! Did you get the question/answer service for your October test? That’s the best place to start since it will tell you exactly where your weaknesses are. I think you’re right that you should lay off on the math, although I’d still do maybe one math section every week or so just to keep you fresh.

For both the reading and writing, it’s all about doing as many practice questions as you can (and timed practice essays, too). I’m going to assume you’ve already got the College Board book (and if you don’t you have to go get it). I’d aim for about 2-3 hours a week for prep, again primarily directed at reading and writing. Be sure to analyze all of your mistakes to figure out where you went wrong - the same types of questions come up again and again (ESPECIALLY with the writing). You may also want to devote some time to vocabulary, especially if sentence completions are a weakness. If you are going to hit the vocab, try to do a few words every day. There’s been several vocab threads lately if you need ideas, so just do a search.

Let us know a little more about your specific weak areas if you need more specifics. Lots of luck!

I recieved the question/answer service but it is not even that helpful. All it tells me is how many questions I got wrong.

Hmm…it should include the test questions, along with your answers, degree of difficulty of the questions and so on. That should tell you a lot about what you need to target. This service isn’t available for every SAT administration, but it is for October (unless you took it under unusual circumstances like taking it on Sunday).

where can i find that? I remember for the Psat I had one of those but for the sat it is not telling me the questions I got wrong. Only the number of questions i got wrong. Where can i find that information?

Go to the College Board website and look for QAS (Question and Answer Service). You can order them after the fact.

i ordered them in the beginning but they are not online. Are they mailed?
