For me, I had my senior year:

AP Gov
AP Calc
AP English
AP Spanish equivalent
then a couple other classes like gym, art, journalism

basiclly I had the same difficulty in college

World Civ
Calculus
ENG Adv.
Psychology
University Course

The English courses were alike, my HS calc course was harder, my HS gov class was harder than world civ, and my psych class was harder than my HS spanish class.

Roughly in HS, I spent 30hrs/week in class, 8hrs/week hw
In college, I spent 10hrs/week in class, 8hrs/week hw

The difference in my HS estimate includes the time I spent studying for tests and preparing papers, in college, boost that average up to 13hrs/week

So HS senior year=38 total hours/wk and 4.00GPA
College 1st sem.=25 total hours/wk and 3.81GPA

Both had similar GPA scales, onlly diff is hs had A+=4.33

I'm telling you all of this information because I was scared, like you, of the courseload. Like you, I too was a normal student who balanced study/free time. I'm not especially smart, didn't study for the SAT and got 1180, 1270, 1390 (old format) respectively, but at the same time I know when to buckle down. The thing is, the college calendar is like 3.5 months and the first month I spent like 15hrs/week in class and 5hrs/week doing hw=20 total hours. The last 2.5 months I spent like 7hrs/week in class and 20hrs/week doing hw=27 total hours.

HOWEVER, it just depends on the classes you take and your professors. I know for a fact this semester, it'll be 23hrs/week in class and 20hrs/week studying for 43 total hours, so my 25hrs/week days are going to be long gone.
