Studying @ 5 a.m....

I used to be like that when I was a Freshman and in Junior High School. But now that I'm an upper-classman, I can't take that risk! What if I don't actually wind up waking early at all?

handshakes

I do this all the time nowadays...I fall asleep somewhere from 3-6 and wake up a 3 in the morning to do work. It helps me procrastinate less. Well, usually.

Sometimes I don't do my homework all day, and I just say to myself, "ah, I'll just do it in the morning."

Turns out that I always wake up, just decide to close my eyes for a bit (trying not to sleep), and next thing I know, its time to go to school already. But I figured it out and do my homework on the bus or in class or at lunch or something. But if the homework assignment is really big or important, then I have a whole different mindset and it's easy for me to wake up.

Surfette: Yeah, exactly! Works well for me!

To contradict my previous post, I was up at 4:30 this morning to write a German paper. It worked well.

"Five in the morninnnnnnn..." :D

I wake up around 5AM at least once a week. If I'm tired at night, sometimes I just shut down. I'm not the type of person who can work at 3AM. In the morning I'm more rested. Also, sometimes when I'm working in the evening I'll start procastinating, but if it's 5AM, nobody's on AIM and nothing's on TV, plus I really have to finish my work. Also with tests, I'll forget some of what I memorized the night before, so it's good to go back over the stuff in the morning.

I hate waking up that early, but it's the only way for me to really get my work done.

I can't. I'd sleep through the alarm.
Trust Me, I've tried.
Just the other day, I was up to 2 studying for my Chem midterm, and decided to take a nap and study again at 5:00.
Urm. DID NOT work out.
I ended up getting up at 6:15 (have to leave @ 6:25)
Then I had a mental breakdown (I was supposed to study 3 more chapters and memorize 2 charts)
yeah, that was not fun.

I had a similar situation as to that of alamodes... except mine was during the finals of junior year. It was not good. I woke up and the sun was shining brightly. And i actually screamed out loud (yes. Out loud) - OH MY GOD.

LOL i can never wake up early to finish homework, so i usually just stay up really late to finish it, usually around 2 or 3am. i wake up at 6:30am.

I prefer working at night, but i'm more efficient in the morning.

Man, if I had a dollar for everytime I've stopped working on homework at 9 or ten and set my alarm for 4:30 to wake up and do homework, only to hit the snooze button ten times... heck, I wouldn't need to do homework, I'd be so rich!

I do this too, early morning youre fresh and rested (for the most part)

same here, i do this too, starting from 10th grade. grades skyrocketed ever since then

HAHA!

"And I'm havin' phone --- with youuu"

Brother!! And the message I entered is too short!!!

I've done the same many times, but since I normally have to wake up at 5am to leave my house on time, I'd have to set my alarm to wake up at 4am instead. I usually feel refreshed by the time school starts, since I'd already been up for 4 hours, but the lack of sleep kicks in around noon, which sucks. Regardless of the effort to wake up early, I'm a victim of snooze-syndrome too.

Solution to snooze-syndrome: Clocky

For $10 cheaper, I could get the sonic bomb alarm clock. But really, $50 on an alarm clock? I'm cheap.

only had one full nighter.

Reason: read Harry Potter 7 before my int'l flight (the book was a disappointment sadly)
