<p>If you study abroad at a university, would that help you possibly get into the graduate school of the same university? Possibly by forming connections or something?</p>
<p>It's recommended that you do your PhD (I'm assumign you mean PhD by "graduate school") at a school different from your undergraduate institution. The reasoning behind this is that the student should have a more worldly view of the field by getting exposure from and studying under a different set of professors.</p>
