studying abroad + resume

I'm currently studying abroad in Europe. When I apply for summer internships/jobs, should I list my current phone number or my regular cell number (which I believe still works here at least some of the time)?

Do I mention that I'm studying abroad in the cover letter? And should I put my current contact number (which I might end up changing if I get a new SIM card) directly on my resume, or just briefly mention it at the end of the cover letter?

Also, I'm spending nearly all of spring break traveling (tomorrow until the end of March). When is the latest I can apply for internships? I've sent in a couple of applications a few months ago, but obviously I'm not getting those interviews. It's already pretty late now, but I'm afraid I'll have to wait until April before I have time to apply to more.

Thanks...

bump .....

My daughter is also abroad and did mention in her cover letters that she was away until mid May. She put her home cell number and email address on her CV. When companies contacted her, she then gave them her phone number she is using while abroad.

All the places she applied have interviewed or are currently interviewing. She has had or will have phone interviews with the companies that would not interview her in early January. So far everyone has been more that happy to conduct her interviews by phone. I am not sure she can stand out as much on phone vs in person, but it is better than not getting an interview.

I would think that April is late, but you never know. I believe all, if not most of the internships my daughter applied for had an application deadline of March 1. You may be just the applicant they are looking for, so go for it!
