If I were to spend a summer doing one or the other, which is recommended. I think internship would look better on a resume, but studying abroad would be a more rewarding experience.

Studying abroad can be a rewarding experience but it is also a challenging one! Going abroad with only dreams will set you up for disappointment. In terms of deciding which one to do, which one will benefit your major and career more? If the internship will look better on the resume that’s the one to go for! Studying abroad can be a great experience but if it is not going to benefit your career, don’t do it. It is not a free experience as it costs the same as college tuition + living expenses (and in Europe this adds up as Euro is beating dollar) + room/board. And if this is not going to benefit you professionally I recommend doing the internship instead. I studied abroad but was fortunate that it was able to benefit my academically, professionally and personally. Bonne chance!
