Has anyone tried studying APs in the summer? (specifically US Gov, Psych, Env Science, and Human Geo) How much reviewing will I have to do in May if I study these in the summer? Suppose at the end of summer I can score solid 5s on practice tests. How much will I forget?

only 75 views? Ouch…

I don’t really know why you’d study it all over the summer only to wait almost a year to take the test…

there’s time in the summer and a lot of people are doing it on CC, but I don’t know how effective it is.

Probably for things that require you to learn more information/facts, like AP US History, self-study over the summer wouldn’t be recommended, since you’d basically have to relearn it all before the test. For concept-based exams, like AP Calculus (I’m not sure that’s the right word in describing that, but you get what I mean), perhaps looking over the material during the summer would be optimal, since you have more time with the material and will be better equipped to handle it. In addition, you’ll probably have a better chance at maintaining good grades in your classes, since you’ll have a better grasp of the subject.

My father insisted on helping me with AP Calculus; I went to a boarding school but I’d come home each weekend and study with him. I started learning the more difficult concepts months before my class reached it, and I really think the fact that I had spent more time with it helped me get a 5 on the exam. What APs are you thinking of self-studying over the summer?

I posted them in the original post. Now that I think of it, I’ll be taking weighted courses online for them. Does anyone know any sites that can fulfill “a-g” requirements besides nuvhs?
