Have any of you guys studied because you were bored? Sometimes I get tired of sitting in my dorm room, with nothing to do, so I go study in the library for 4-5 hours, it makes college go by so FAST(I can't believe its already February), if you study like 4-5 hours a day outside of class. I don't study for fun, but because I have to. I get so much work.

Yeah, I’ve done this before, and also b/c I have so much work to keep on top of. You’re not alone.

Good for you, at least you’re getting good grades that way. When I’m bored, I stream movies on Netflix, watch random Youtube videos, and do other useless things.

I don’t have enough time spent not studying to be bored to begin with.

my bored? what about my bored?

Use to in community college. Not really anymore since I moved to a big city to get my BA. There’s just simply too many other things that grab my attention than my studies.

If I’m stuck somewhere, I’ll usually doodle instead of pull out my homework (I take art classes on the side) :)

No, but I wish I did.

Yeah, I’ve done it before. It kills time VERY effectively.

Hahaha… I’ve thought about studying when I was that bored, but even the thought is just EXHAUSTING. At that point, I probably would take a nap.

won’t studying while you are bored make you ever more bored?!?!

If the material is boring then yeah. But if it’s interesting then no.

I mean I study because I have to. My school gives us so much work, but I have noticed that sometimes I Overstudy simply because I am bored and don’t want to feel like I didn’t do enough for the class. For example, I have spent around 13 hours in the library over the weekend.

13 hours in the library in ONE weekend?

Sounds like you could get a job and make some extra cash on the side, or pick up a sport/activity to play. Really though, if that’s what you enjoy and your studies are exciting enough to hold your interests, then by all means enjoy that library.
Personally I think exploring new hobbies, getting some exercise, etc. is a better way to spend that time –> figuring that you’re doing fine in your classes.

Yes, all the time. But quite recently, I’ve opted for eating instead.

study YO grammar mangnggnggg

contrACTION INFRaction

Yeah, I do that too, but I think I should actually stop doing it.

lol… ;)

Lol too.

Seriously, it’s not a bad idea. I mean there’s going to be those times that you have nothing to do, so take advantage of the time to improve your grades, etc.
