Studying biology at Rutgers NB?

How is biology at NB? And can one study biology at the Rutgers College campus, or is that only offered across the river at Piscataway in the SEBS?

its offered at SAS u dont have to be at SEBS. but the bio major is really tough. i know many people whoa re majoring in bio at SAS for a premed track and they say its very hard. but even so.. its always worth it in the end right?

I also plan on majoring in Bio as SAS (on a premed track)...i would expect it to be challenging, but giving your best effort always does the trick :)

So are the same courses offered on both campuses?

As I have been told "Biology is biology is biology" regarless of the campus. The major is the same and classes (to my knowledge) are given at both campuses. This is why you can be as SEBS but major in something only offered at SAS.

Biology classes are not taught on College Avenue Campus. They are offered at Busch and at Cook/Douglass. Your core courses will be taught at various New Brunswick campuses, and you will be moving between campuses.

Okay, I just got my acceptance today, and I'm leaning towards SAS because I feel that SEBS is too isolated from Rutgers at large (but hey what do I know).

Ohhh, well as a transfer students I'm done with most of the core courses. So that would mean that if I want to study biology I'm going to have to go to SEBS?

No, you can be SAS in biological sciences major:

Go on line to the Rutgers site under academics and explore. To survive at RU, you have to be able to figure this out. There are advisors, but you need to have a better idea of how things are organized. It is all on line. Good luck.

Don't take upper division biology/chem even if you have AP credit. You need a semester to learn how to handle college. If you really want to, take neuro science. It is easier.
