Ok, I am having great difficulties in my AP US History class. What I don't understand is how to memorize all the material effectively for the tests and reading check quizzes as well as organizing the ideas for the essays our teacher gives us on every test. I usually read each reading 3 times, but I still can't remember stuff to a point that I will get the reading check quiz right. However, there are some people who can get a perfect score on each reading check quiz and I believe I can too, so plz don't reiterate the whole story about some people are naturally good at history cause that's BS. Does anyone have any way of studying history effectively and efficiently that they have found successful in their AP History class. Any advice is vastly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

For me, writing down key dates, events (basically, taking notes) while reading helps me memorize key information. It may take longer to read, but at least, you will remember more of the information.
