Studying for SAT US History Subject Test vs AP Exam

I am currently a Sophomore and enrolled in AP US History. As a Freshman I self studied for the AP World History exam and received a 4. Now that I am actually in the related class and have carried an A+ through the first semester I hope to receive a 5. I also wish to take the SAT Subject Test in US History.

Should I purchase two separate review books for the two separate tests, or will they be so similar that it would be pointless? If I only purchase one, should it be for the AP or SAT? I currently plan on purchasing the Crash Course AP review book.

Thank you for your time.

The subject test tends to focus more on names and dates than does the AP. If you are an excellent APUSH student, you will do just fine on the subject test. I recommend reviewing key names and dates though.

For reference, I got a B+ in APUSH and got a 780 on the test. Retaking in May though.
