Studying for subject test in chem, bio, mathII?

Hey. I took math I, world hist, and us hist (680, 750, 790).

I kinda want to round off my academic profile, it's very bent towards humanities and social studies.

I've taken bio, chem, precalc (fresh, soph, junior years respectively)
none of the classes were amazing, teachers weren't great.

Taking AP bio this year, and AP calc.

Has anyone been in my situation, self studied some, and done well on any of the bio, chem, or math II tests??

Anyone think that with less than amazing classes in the past in bio, chem, precalc, that I can do well on one of the exams??
EDIT: also, which bio to take??

one thing to remember is that prep for the AP tests overlap significantly with prep for SAT IIs

for bio: depends on what you emphasized in class: i think most are tended toward molecular but it depends

When I prepared for the Chem test, I had no AP course to review off of. I only a Chemistry IB class which lacked a lot of the topics found on the test. I ended up doing pretty well by self studying with barron's and PR. All the motivation you'll need is fear of being grossly unprepared and the potential of doing miserable on the real test. That way, once you step into the test room you'll feel 100% ready.

yeah i wont have AP test prep overlapping this prep. i have to have subject tests done in the fall, as i'm a senior.

my only biology class was an introductory course freshmen year.
it barely went into detail of all the systems and what not.

i just read PR and Barron's SAT II Biology for about 2 weeks
to my suprise i got a 770 (97%ile)
:D

Thats what I like to know :)

I think i'm gonna take Biology E (I took AP environmental, it seems to correspond a lot more with ecology, i should have noticed..), but i'm not sure what else. I want to take at least one more test besides bio.

Seems Barron's is the preferred guide for Bio??
Would an AP bio study book be sufficient for studying for subject test?? or do you guys suggest i buy the subject test book?

I took
