Studying Multiple Languages

Hi folks! What are people's thoughts on the effect of multilingualism on application strength? I've seen a lot of folks studying two languages, maybe three. How common is this? What's its effect?

By the time I graduate, I'll have taken the AP tests for: Spanish, French, Spanish Lit, Chinese, and Italian, in addition to studying Portuguese and Esperanto; languages are my best field. Any stats/experience on the rarity of this or strength? For me personally, I'm thinking about top 20 schools. Thanks!

It’s pretty difficult and sometimes looked down upon (as opposed to studying one language for 4-5 years). If you can pull it off and speak them well, more power to you.

It will add to an otherwise strong profile.
