Studying the Science

Hello!

Which TWO science would be the best to study simultaneously and in combo (biology, chemistry, physics)?

I would say chemistry and physics, as they both involve math. Bio is more memorization.

If you are a math person, then i would say physics and chem. But if u prefer to just deal with facts and memorize things, then bio and chem r a good combo because although chem has math, its no as much as physics

Bio and chem! They have more overlap than chem+ physics or bio + physics.

Bio and chem have the most overlap, and probably bio and physics have the least (which could be a good thing, if you don’t want to hear about molecules all the time). But it all goes back to physics.

I think I benefited from taking chemistry before biology, rather than the other way around like most people. Chemistry is more “fundamental” in a way and it’s nice to understand things (like hydrogen bonding, molecular structure, etc.) from chemistry before you see them more superficially in biology.

Will studying both biology and chemistry (not one after one) hurt the understanding of both subjects?

No. I took chemistry before biology and I think I learned very well. However, all of my classmates took biology before chemistry, as that is the standard curriculum. There really is not much of an overlap in the curricula. They are related (if you go deeper), but the courses aren’t.
