Studying

I know that dorms at all schools could be loud and thats chill but when it comes to studying I need it quiet. Is there a place at USC that is quiet enough to study at any hour?

Umm this is UMich forum :)

Im aware its the the University of Michigan forum. I was accepted there and Im trying to decide what school to go to.

USC? I've not been accepted yet so I'm not too familiar with the terms, but I generally thought that meant some other University?

my bad

I just asked the USC forum hte same question because I am considering going there but where does it say that im asking about USC here.

From you, first post.

... :)

Yeah, it's pretty evident you were talking about USC. Maybe you got mixed up and meant UM?

well..if you mean UM, the law library is the quietest place to study. The upper floor of the bschool library is really quiet too. The undergrad library is generally pretty loud..but you could get an individual study room and you'd be fine.

I usually crank out some long study sessions in the grad library or the bottom floor of the ugli (the individual desks with walls). Plus, the ugli is open till 5 am, so its great for all-nighters. Whatever you do, don't even try to study on the main floor because its really the social center of the library.

Kresge is also a really nice library, but it gets really crowded with b-school students.

oops my bad i sent the same post to the USC forum becuase Im considering going there as well and I just copied and pasted it without realizing i mentioned USC in the actual post

This may be really odd since I don't even go to the school; but I found North Campus's Engineering library really nice.

I'm either there, the UGLI or in the grad library.

It's sad since I don't even go to UMich...

Rackham has study rooms that are apparently very quiet.

the BEST place to study is the duderstadt center, which is the library on north campus. i've tried studying in all the places on campus.. ugli, grad, law, kresge, and none compare to duder.

and they are open 24 hours a day, which means you can basically sleep there, which some people end up doing.. haha.

yeah but its all the way on north campus..what a pain. lol i'm lazy and dont study enough for that to be worth it.

How far is North Campus by bus? I don't remember it being THAT... long. I left from Couzins if that makes a difference

yes but the ugli, law library, and kresge are all a 3 minute walk for me

the ride from cc Little to pierpont commons and duderstadt is about 10-12 minutes.
