Why can't people admit they study? If you have very high grades, the chances are that YOU STUDY! There are only few natural born geniuses. Who admits/doesn't admit they study? How much do you guys study, honestly?

Some classes I seriously don't have to study for and I do well. But I don't do all that dawdling in the bush..if I study, and someone wants to know, then heck yeah I'll tell them. My brother though is one of those people who don't have to study for anything whatsoever, and they score well. I think it's just listening in class for them, I dunno. I really don't know how they do it. Seriously my bro plays video/computer games ALL day. Laziest kid I know but one of the smartest. Too bad for him, it could possibly hurt him severely in life later.

Yeah, I definately think that work ethic is far more important than natural intelligence once you finish school.

there are cases when some ppl dun study(or very little) yet are able to apply thier knowledge and do well in tests compared to some of their peers who prob studied hard but do not score as well (maybe ineffective studyn method) so these friends feel low and wont admit they studied since they did worse...

I usually study but for like Calc I just listen in class and just look at the review for like ten minutes and take the test. I get like an A in that class. For chemistry that was possible for a little while. But after first quarter I realized that I needed to study. For USH I usually don't study but read the book. However, I do agree it's the work ethic. It's kind of scary to see intelligence and work ethics meet.

I study, and I have no problem admitting it...I mainly study for Honors Algebra II, Chemistry, Spanish IV (somewhat), AP American Gov., and Honors U.S. History...For Honors English II, there's usually not much to actually "study", nor is there in Criminal Justice, a class which is seriously a joke...

^_^ I study, and I will admit that.

Good for you, admitting that.

I study, of course, and I have friends who admit it. I have this one friend who spends four hours on our APUSH course, but of course, she sets the curve on every test.

However, there is this one girl in my class who is humble and always says "Oh, I didn't study... I probably did so bad..." and it bothers me, cause I'm always like "Shut the F**** up, you did study, and you got the highest score in the class!" gah, those people.

I don't study incessantly, and there are sometimes where I DON'T study (either I forgot or was too busy or didn't care), but I do admit that I study.

Yeah. I'm like twinkletoes, depends on the night and what's going on. Some stuff comes easy and just a bit of in class work is enough, otherwise, studying is a must. parents are another factor too...

parents are another factor is an understatement for me :p

:] Ha ha. Same here.

person: "Damnit! that test was HARD! I studied so much too!"
me: "i got a 100. i didn't study at all haha. just some good logical reasoning"

i've said something like that a few times before. it's funny but it can hurt people even though they don't show it. however, sometimes it IS very TRUE. i don't study or barely study and i get a much higher grade. at least it'll give the guy some eustress and make him ponder about how to make his studying more effective. but the guy won't appreciate my help :( but then i'll still get the good chuckle either way for acing the test. yin/yang man...

It's funny... even if I study for hours and hours on math or chemisty, I still don't do well. Yet, when I ace history and english without any studying at all. -_-; I guess some stuff comes more easily than others.
I know tons of students who are naturally super smart and just breeze through classes without doing work. :P

Even geniuses have to study. It's wjhy the olympiad training camps are so rigorous.

I know that feeling tigeruppercut. But in that case I just say nothing or say something like yeah it was hard. I used to say I didn't even study but realized that implied that the person was stupider than me. Although people admit that someone else is smarter if others ask them they don't like to admit it in front of the person.

I usually have to study for subjects with vast amounts of memorization

ie: Calc, I have to study all the sequence and series convergence tests, though I derived more than half of them.

Logic is good though: I figured out how to get volume of rotation for a curve in 6th grade, using a semicircle method. So I had no problem understanding the formal idea.

I usually just listen in class, and think about it, and it works for me.

:] Let's just say everyone has different way of studying. Also they have strong points in other subjects and doesn't need to study for it. ^_^

Well, some people can just learn and retain information... I mean, i study for almost nothing, except finals and APs. Otherwise, i just remember... Photographic memory helps as well. Im another one of those people who dont sutdy but get perfect scores... Gets kinda annoying after awhile... people dont really like you after that happens...

I study. Haha.
