Has anyone had any experience with the Studyworks if so how many points increase of your SAT?

I haven't heard of them. Are they national?

They have it in several major states, such as Maryland, Virginia, New York, Washington DC, etc. I am just wondering how good the course is comparing to Testmasters. I have looked at the schedule for Testmasters prep course, is just very intense. Some classes are on both Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm for 6 consecutive weeks.

I live in Virginia but hadn't heard of them yet. We have Princeton Review near us, and they're supposed to be really good for classes. I have a few of their books and like the way they teach the SAT and ACT, so I'd probably do their course if I take one. I'm not so hot on standardized tests so it's always possible!

My son had a poor experience with Study Works, and I would not recommend them.

Could you tell me more about the your son's bad experience with Study Works. Was it because of the insturctor or the course material? How many students in a class? Did his SAT score increase? I heard you can retake the test as many times you want. Which state that your son took the couse?

Cherry17 - I sent you a PM. The fact that the Testmasters course is so intense compared to the Study Works course is a warning sign.

Ann,

Thanks for responding to my email. Did you mean the Testmasters is much better than Study Works?

Anyone has any bad or good experience with either Testmaster or Study Works? How many point of SAT score increase?

Cherry17 - I have no personal experience with Testmasters. My comment meant to convey that if the course is more intense it it likely to be more successful. Six weeks of Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm classes, are far more likely to be successful than 4 10am-3pm classes (96 hours of class time versus 20 hours). If you do try them I would be interested in your feedback. I hope your experience is better than ours.
