<p>Okay guys, excuse the ridiculous title, but i was wondering what kind of items you could imagine needing to talk to your roommate about deciding who should bring/buy what.</p>
<p>Here's what I've got so far, in no particular order...
TV
Stereo
Microwave
Fridge
Trash Bags
Toaster
Bowls/Plates
Silverware (minimal)
Power Strips
Dustbuster
Entertainment Center
Uhhhh video games maybe?</p>

<p>If you're in a traditional style dorm, it's a lot cheaper (and easier for that matter) to use disposable bowls/plates if you plan on cooking. Trad. style dorms don't appear to come with any sinks besides what's in the bathroom, and washing could be a pain.</p>
<p>Some ideas for the list:</p>
<p>Fan (for non-AC dorms like Brittany)
Telephone
DVD player/VCR
Playstation 2/XBox/etc.
Coffee Maker (more of an individual need, I suppose)
Rice Cooker (ditto)
Wireless router (I don't know if NYU allows people to install wireless routers off the ethernet jacks in dorm rooms, but if you're going to be sharing wireless, you'd only really need one)</p>
<p>That's all I can think of...</p>
