I believe desk lamps are provided in all of the dorms and there are curtains or blinds on the windows. A phone is in the room...but people hardly use them anymore. Clocks and hangers aren't provided...not too sure about mirror set up. My dorm room in the Transfer Center had 2...but I'm sure it differs from building to building.

If you're living in the dorm I think it's a good idea to have a surge protector...gives you extra outlets as well.

The only time you won't be eating in the dining halls will either be when you eat off-campus, or late night snacks. Even so, late night snacks will probably just be pizza or finger foods, so you don't really need to pack plates and utensils. Maybe just buy a roll of paper towels at Bear Necessities in RPCC.

and dont forget that if you ever need something, the cornell bus system takes you directly to the mall where there is kinda weird a target. yes. a flippin' target. in the mall. thats ithaca for you!

theres also a wegmans down the road too...i dont know if there is a bus route that goes there

The bus to Wegmans isn't very convenient. But, the same bus that goes to Target also stops at Tops.

I brought a bowl, some utensils and a drinking cup. I usually had some quick fix foods in my room...easy mac, oatmeal and Lean Cuisine that I would eat for those night when I got home too late to go to the dining hall.

TurtleFever: As somebody who just finished doing room inventory cards for PSP, I can tell you that you just might want to bring a mirror. Every room in Becker doesn't have a mirror. Its not needed, though, as the bathrooms are all well-equipped.
