For anyone who has seen 7th Heaven, what state do the Camdens live in? I know they live in Glenn Oak, just not sure of where that is. Thanks.

They live in California.

This is probably off topic, but I think the Camden children are good examples about the bad aspects of holding too strongly to convictions of waiting before marriage to copulate. I am by no means putting down the decision to wait until you're married, as I've decided that's what I'm going to do.

However, I think the decision to wait until you're married should come from your own personal convictions rather than ones you're told by your religion and/or parents. I know I'm being extremely judgmental and inaccurate when I say this, but I kind of feel like Matt, Mary, Lucy, and now maybe Simon (I haven't watched in a long time) made their decision to marry largely because they wanted to copulate with their significant others. (I'm probably wrong, but this is my opinion.)

Obviously, they aren't the type of people that should wait until marriage. It isn't for everyone. Had their religion not told them they should wait, all of them could have gone ahead and done it safely and wouldn't have had to go through the hassle of marrying and divorce.

I respectively disagree. I think religion should play a role, if that's what you believe in.

This is probably my least favorite show.

The acting is terrible. It's supposed to entertaining, I know, but with the exception of a few episodes, 7th Heaven probably has the cheapest plots ever.

i agree with grapeful. people should do things that they feel are truly right or important, they shouldn't just do (or not do) things because some book or religious organization tells them not to.

..i can kinda see this turning into a heated debate

7th Heaven is like beastiality porn. I know it exists and I could probably figure out how to see it if I wanted to, but I will go my entire life never regretting that I haven't.
