I know this is long, but I'd appreciate any feedback because i've been really stressed lately.

Hey I'm a Pakistani American as well and I'm also applying to Emory. I think you have a great chance everywhere other than Emory, where you definitely have a shot but it could go either way. Did you apply EDII there (that would give you a boost)?

Oh yeah did you get a 1350 or 1380 on the SAT? lol

that was a typo sorry. 1380*

bump please someone i need more comments please!!!! anyone?

this is my top college.

bumpppppppppppppppppp

bumpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp please come on

your scores and grades are about average for emory (sat1, gpa, rank, etc) but im thinkin youre set as long as you sent in good essays and recs and showed leadership in some way other than "i got straight A's". Emory says that they care about taking all AP classes and all that, but I know people who didn't get in and had much better scores than I did. I took the occasional regular or blowoff class, and it didn't seem to hurt so... in my experience, if you can make yourself stick out, then youre good to go. Emory is tough to get in to for RD. Do you feel like you did a good job on your entire app? if so, then all you can do it wait.

yeah I think i did a good job on my application. i showed how emory was my top choice and how i really wanted to go there (didn't use this level of language to express this, of course)

hope u don't come off as pretentious in your app as you do posting on this thread. good luck

haha lol. no comment.

i think you've still got a shot at emory; emory isn't too tough on SAT scores at all like other universities - in fact, many have said they're more likely to reject a 1500 with no EC's as opposed to someone like you, who's close to 1400, but has a fair amount of EC involvement.

good luck.
