Our proctor was stupid, and couldn't add up the minutes correctly. At first I was finishing the test in a breeze with 5 min to spare on each section...

then halfway through, I was not able to finish like 5-7 probs on another couple of sections. she kept erasing the times on the board so I couldn;t verify whether it was just me or if it was her timing.

Turns out i caught her on the last section.

No one else caught it until i spoke up.

10:52 to 11:18 IS NOT 30 minutes.

Took us a whole FIVVVVVVVVVVEEEE minutes to explain to her the math! OMG. Then she gave us our 4 min like we were crazy.

So...talked to my counselor afterwards who said she couldn;t do anything bc the proctor also did not write the times in her supervisor notebook...

Called the collegeboard and they said they would do an investigation. And they said that if they found out if this was true, then I'd get to retake the test...but how would that benefit me if first of all it was someone else's mistake and now I have to study all over again?

Yeah I had a problem like that at my high school. We were told duing the ap us history test we had till 12:00 to finish the free response section. Then at 11:25 some girl had to say we really only had 5 minutes left. I was just finishing up on my second essay. My third essay was only 2 paragraphs long, but that easy DBQ saved me.
(i'm making up these times, I cant remember the exact times)

what the... this is really unfair for the students. so they come prepared for a 3-hour intense usage of brain power, and they end up having to go through that again!?

but the collegeboard declares everytime one registeres that the company has the right to retest students if they think time is given improperly, and we all had to agree to those terms. -_-'

if that were to happen to me, id go insane.

at my school, i think that we got an extra ten minutes on the AP Eng Lang exam. By we, I mean the 90 students who took that exam, so it's a pretty big mistake. It didn't help though, only 3 kids got a 5...

man, i'm sorry about what happened. i hope something works out. about your proctor, "ya stupid iodiot!!! can't you just count minutes correctly for one day?!?!!! you insane woman!!! go home!!!" if i was in that situation, i would be soooooo mad at the proctor. anyway, good luck..

thanks paris. Yea called CB again and they said that they are still on the investigation.

WHATEVER!

I need my scores to send to the colleges! And why do I have to suffer the consequences when it was someone else's fault! COLLEGE 4 goodness sake!
