STupid question - Language requirement?

<p>I'm in AP Spanish, i don't "hablo espanol" very well, and i just want this spanish hell to end.</p>

<p>If i want to study a new language in college, which will most likely be the case if i don't place out with a sweet AP score, what level of that language must i reach before i can break free from the shackles of foreign languages? My english is terrible enough, so when you hear my spanish, you'd probably cry.</p>

<p>I think it's 2 years equivalent, so you can jump up, but you have to finish the second term of an intermediate sequence to satisfy the requirements. Bulletin, course catalog, pp. 78-9.</p>
