Stupid Question of the Day (yes even from a Stanford Hopeful)

Hi,

Where/how do we check our admissions decision online on April 1?

This link has been for checking application status ...but what about the actual decision?

https://axess.stanford.edu/ sign in as a guest....

I've not received any specific informational emails yet about how/where we check our admissions decision -did anyone else receive any information? Will we get some sort of code as we do for the Ivies or will l it be like Caltech and the decision is sent to us by email?

No- I'm not a troll...I've just never been on CC...but said, he what the heck...5 weeks to go...

Thanks

senioritus -- yep!

Don’t we get an email? I’m not sure…

Glad I’m not the only one confused…

Your not the only one with senioritis either! haha. I know that some colleges send emails…harvard I think. Well we will either get an email or they will send us an email telling us how we can check on axess.

My parents think “Stanford” hopefuls don’t get this disease…they think I’ve given up and don’t deserve to go to Stanford if accepted…
I just am so so so so so so so so so bored with the stupid busy work my HS teachers dish out…I don’t want to do any of it…

They released decisions via email for early action.
I’m assuming they’ll do the same for regular decision.

^Thanks.

Yea, every time I say I didn’t do well on a test or something because i was lazy and didn’t study, my parents are like "i guess your going to community college huh? I hope senior year grades don’t count for much! I’m not failing or anything…but definitely not doing my best…

Yesterday my husband got a letter from Stanford (actually, two in one envelope). It was talking about legacy in regards to our daughter and it also mentioned that the admission decision will come through email and will be NOWHERE on any online Stanford sites. This will be April 1 before 5 PM. If admitted, a large envelope will arrive, also sent out on the 1st. Basically it was saying NOT to go searching on the Stanford websites or portals for decisions.

2Leashes is correct. They sent out a notice to the REA applicants saying as much.

So, Starmie, the REA should expect to receive a letter in the mail like the one 2Leashes received (Obviously minus the legacy part)? A friend of mine applied REA and is currently wigging out because they hadn’t heard anything about how they would find out.

You will get an email on April 1 (most likely before), and a packet of stuff if you’re accepted a few days after. I’m not sure if they send out hard copies of rejection letter or not.

Wouldn’t REA already have received their acceptance/rejection back in December?

REA applicants all received decisions on dec 11th or 12th (I forget which). Those that were accepted don’t have to decide where they want to go until May 1 just like all of the RD people, though.

Sorry, I was thinking since SCEA was early decision, REA was regular (The ‘r’ through me off) not a synonym for SCEA. I guess my question is if someone applied regular decision, would they receive this, sorry for the confusion!!

No problem! I can see how the “r” would throw you off.

I’m not sure if everyone who applied RD receives a smail mail letter notifying them of the decision date/receiving it via email. Seems to me they could save paper just by emailing everyone that. Or just check on the Stanford website to see how and when students learn of their decision.

It was my husband who got the letter, anyway. Not my daughter. I’m not even sure they have his email address.

I believe on the Stanford rejection email, you can request a paper rejection letter.
