<p>This is a common problem and there is no real solution since one essay covers every UC. What majors are you applying for? Is there any way you can combine your two areas of interest? </p>
<p>Note: The personal essays are really only important for UCLA and CAL so if you are applying for the same major at both schools, you should focus on that one.</p>
<p>i am applying at UCI for Lit.Journ and UCLA for Amer Lit/Culture…not sure how to combine them…i will have to work on that…</p>

<p>I think that won’t be too bad to combine. If I were you, I’d just focus on the AmericanLit/culture major since UCLA will definitely put more weight on your essay than UCI.</p>
<p>Does the essay even matter if you have TAG? I would just write it for UCLA.</p>

<p>Pretty sure TAG means TAG, a guarantee. I have read that most of the UCs do not even read your personal statement.</p>
