I'm in an Algebra 2 in high school right, and I'm curious to know... what fundamentals in Alg. 2 are mostly found in Statistics? I'm sure slopes and linear equations all belong to Calculus, but what about Statistics? And other branches of math?

Knowing how to use a calculator and being able to memorize which symbols mean which things

also maybe knowing how to do factorials, but AP Stat is still like 90% calculator based

Statistics isn’t math

But for the record, probability theory falls under the category of Analysis (as does calculus). And probability theory is basically the underpinnings of statistics. But elementary algebra and linear algebra can be useful at times as well.

Well AP Statistics isn’t. But Statistics is.

^ yes and no, respectively.

okay fine statistics is applied math.
